I pretty much spam that goddamned thing, but it's great for leveling indoor capture points and getting stray kills when you can't exactly pinpoint someone with the rifle but know the general area they're hiding in. Life got a lot easier once I unlocked the Mortar Strike. I'd recommend playing Hardcore Rush whenever you get the opportunity, because the sniper rifles cause all sorts of havoc when they can uniformly kill in a single shot (sans one or two of the guns in the class).
Something about the shooting doesn't click for me, so I tend to hang back and support folks.
I kind of hate playing this game for anything other than the Recon class, so I feel your pain.
